Founder, Creative Director, Chief Play Officer

Courtney Gault is the founder and creative force behind Greenwich Play, a design firm dedicated to creating purposeful, play-focused spaces for families. 

With a dual master’s in early childhood education and fine arts, Courtney began her career in education before launching a consulting service in 2017 to support families with developmentally informed design at home.

Since founding Greenwich Play, Courtney has led the firm’s evolution from a solo consultancy to a full-service design brand with a growing national presence. Courtney has worked with families across the country and has led Greenwich Play’s expansion into new markets, such as Dallas and Boston. 

Her educator’s insight and mother’s perspective fuel designs that are as functional as they are chic. From cozy corners to imaginative play zones, her work reflects a deep understanding of child development and how the environment shapes growth.

Whether collaborating with families, educators, or contractors, Courtney remains committed to her mission: to design intentional spaces that foster independence and support whole-child development.

When Courtney isn’t helping other families, she can be found biking around Greenwich, CT, with her husband and two sons, Cooper and William, or somewhere on the shores of Nantucket, her favorite place.
