our first transformative space

Our first ✨️transformative space✨️ of 2025 is one for our record books: Lowest Ceiling Height Ever at a staggering six feet, seven inches tall! 🙀

We were able to purposefully define a gross motor area, seating and TV, dedicated craft space, and special pretend play/cozy nook.

It’s almost hard to believe this glow-up, and we created it!

Swipe through to see the transformation come to life. Proof that anything is possible with vision, experience, and resources.

Our mission

Greenwich Play has always been a mission-driven company founded as a resource for caregivers looking to create healthy, supportive spaces for their children to develop, play, and learn.

As our company has grown and the realities of running what actual professionals tell me is now called a “real” business (🙃), I’ve found moments where my mission felt overshadowed by the demands of growth, particularly in the last year.

So, as we step into 2025, I’m excited to tell you about Greenwich Play’s “Year of Transformative Spaces” and why we are dedicating this year to creating play environments that go beyond design and truly impact the lives of children and families everywhere.

To us, a “transformative space” is more than turning a dingy basement into a beautiful playroom. It’s more than the “WOW” in that before and after. It’s creating an environment that transforms how children engage with the world around them.

That’s the key🔑

Creativity, problem-solving, fine and gross motor skills, and social-emotional growth are all being shaped during “playtime,” often in ways that aren’t immediately visible.

✨️The environment where this development occurs is just as important as the activities and materials themselves, if not more.✨️

We’re not here for likes. We’re not content creators or influencers. We aren’t trying to sell you anything. In 2025, we want our platform to spread awareness about the importance of purposeful play spaces and make intentionally designed play spaces more accessible to all.

More to come. . .👊🏻

dear santa

Dear Santa,

This year, I don't want anything wrapped in a bow or stuffed in a stocking. Instead, I’m writing to ask for something much more critical: purposeful, meaningful play experiences for all the children and families.

Santa, we’ve seen what happens when playrooms are filled with throwaway toys - ones that capture attention for a fleeting moment, only to be forgotten in a cluttered corner. These toys don’t spark creativity, build skills, stand the test of time, or grow with a child. Instead, they take up physical and mental space and don’t offer the joy or connection that play is meant to bring.

I want parents to see beyond the holiday rush and think about the true impact of what they’re placing under the tree. Before buying, let’s pause and ask ourselves:

🎁Where will this go? Does it have a place in our home where it can live purposefully, not just contribute to the mess?

🎁Who will play with it? Does it invite engagement from siblings, friends, or even the whole family?

🎁How long will it last? Is it built to inspire curiosity and creativity over time? Will it grow with my child?

🎁What does it teach? Does it encourage problem-solving, role-playing, or active movement? Does it allow children to create, imagine, and explore?

Santa, I dream that families everywhere purchase with intention, prioritizing toys and materials that foster exploration and discovery. So, if you need ✨️ANY✨️ help at all, feel free to look at our gift guide (link in bio)😉.

Wishing you a sleigh full of thoughtful intentions,
